Wow, what a privilege it has been to meet and know so many kinds of people over the years. I love the work that I do and it’s my hope that my deep interest in people and relationships is apparent. I’m a nerd by nature; always reading a research article or finding something new to learn about. I’ve always been fascinated by how people grow themselves and their lives, and so, counseling was my path from a very early age.
Through the years, I've learned that no one is immune to stress & anxiety and that what helps the most is a safe space and a companion with an open-mind. I like to make our time together feel warm & relaxed, and I've been told by many clients that I have a calming presence. It's my hope that I can offer clients this special relationship that can be unlike any they've had before. |
I've spent many years learning and working in the mental health field. I've worked with children with special needs in equine-assisted therapy, with teens in a shelter-setting, with young adults in college counseling, with women experiencing domestic violence, and with people of all ages in community outpatient treatment. These settings and their experiences have brought me to my practice in our community.
Throughout my work, I studied Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State University and followed that by earning a Master's in Counseling Psychology at Eastern University. By meeting rigorous requirements set by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I maintain my license as a Professional Counselor (LPC). This license ensures that I regularly continue my education and training. Moreover, I enjoy continuous learning by reading books, articles, and up-to-date research on the fields of psychology and well-being. When I’m not working with my clients, I’m at home with my husband, 2 little kids and 2 dogs. Together, we spend most of our time exploring, trying new playgrounds, and enjoying our friends & family. |
